Maryland visit with the Pelletiers!

So apparently we are only an hour and a half from Columbia, MD where my aunt, uncle and cousins live, so we decided to pay them all a visit. Diego had a blast playing with Nick and B, watching the bunny and the fish, going to the Baltimore Aquarium and the National Zoo in DC.

These lions were cool, rarely see both males and females together like this in one exhibit!

Watching the orangutan's. They had this tightrope strung for about 3 blocks of the park between two great ape buildings and these orangutans were crossing the ropes on their way to lunch. Coolest exhibit I've possibly ever seen in a zoo (as long as you weren't standing under them when they needed to take a dump ;)).

(it was rather cold so we wrapped my sweater around D, hence the young paduan look)

I shall call this.....

My son the HAM! (He recently learned to smile at the camera and say cheese, it's quite the crack-up!)

Atlantic City

We wanted to visit the beach last weekend because the weather was nice, but found that someone forgot to tell NJ that spring had arrived. We had a good time anyway. Diego went on his first carousel ride and loved walking through the casinos.

Easter 2010

This year Diego was old enough to participate in the Easter festivities. Our apartment complex had an Easter egg hunt and D found 5 eggs! He was more interested in the balloons.

Easter Sunday it was beautiful and about 78ยบ outside so we decided to go to the park. Diego had a blast playing on all the equipment and chasing his Dada around the field.

New Jersey Aquarium

One of the benefits of AJ's job is that he has weekends off so we can explore the city. Diego has tasted his first dim sum, been to look at many houses, and this particular weekend we took him to the New Jersey Aquarium. His favorite part...the hippos!

Diego's first Gymbo class!

We enrolled Diego in Gymboree so he could still have some quality playtime with other kids, but more so I could wear the kid out and get a decent nap out of him. He is definitely everyone's favorite pupil. He is the only kid there that laughs and shrieks with joy the whole time he is playing. All the teachers know him by name and get a kick out of his infectious laugh! He loves rocking on the horsey, bubbles and getting Gymbo stamps on his hand at the end of class!
